PC Restore Software Implemented on Australia’s Largest School Computer Network
(PRWEB) March 23, 2010 -- An Australian high school has become the country’s largest single-site customer of the reboot-to-restore software (http://www.hdguardsoftware.com) HDGUARD.
The software, developed in Europe and distributed throughout the Asia Pacific region by Australian IT Solution provider eye4you Pty Ltd, has been running on 350 PCs at Ballarat High School, in Victoria, since 2003. With its version 8 release late 2009, HDGUARD is now installed on a thousand student PCs throughout the school’s network.
“It’s a milestone for our company, being not only the largest school network in Australia to implement HDGUARD but also the biggest single-license deal ever for the software” said Kenneth Hart, CEO and founder of eye4you Pty Ltd.
HDGUARD restores computers to their original state with every restart, reducing IT management time and the need to reconfigure the operating system when unwanted changes are made. The software is in use in approximately 1,025 schools throughout Australia and New Zealand.
“With Windows 7 being implemented on school networks throughout the country, we’re experiencing an incredible demand for the latest version of HDGUARD” said Tash Marti, Product Manager (Education) at eye4you. “And with the recent government roll-out of laptops to every student in Australia, schools will be looking at software like HDGUARD to offer a virtually maintenance-free solution to desktop protection”.
The software is compatible with most Windows-based networks and specifically designed for multi-user networks in schools and educational intuitions. Cost varies depending on client-count, with an average 100-client network being $29 per PC (Australian dollars, excluding tax) with 12 months of upgrades included.
